St. Mona, St.Vincent, and St. Marilyn belong to my “Modern Saints” series—a reflection on how we elevate ordinary people and familiar faces into something almost divine. Using layers of acrylic, spray paint, and gold leaf, I merge sacred tradition with the immediacy of street art.
Each portrait carries a halo and a story: as the saint of mystery, Vincent as the saint of creation and struggle, and Marilyn as the saint of vulnerability and light. The textures, cracks, and layers echo the passing of time—how beauty fades yet endures.
These paintings explore the fine line between reverence and ruin, fame and faith. Together, they form a conversation about humanity’s need to believe in something—whether it’s art, memory, or the fragile glow of being seen.
