Elvis, The King” reimagines an enduring cultural icon through layered stencil and spray paint. The monochrome portrait contrasts with bursts of vibrant color, text, and symbols, creating a dialogue between the man and the myth. Words like “love” and “hope” echo the emotional core of his legacy, while the energetic background suggests rhythm and cultural movement.

This work reflects on how we see our icons: partly as individuals, partly as vessels of collective memory. In capturing Elvis within this layered storm of imagery, I aim to both honor his influence and question the ways we construct our legends.
