In Phantoms in the Fog, I wanted to express that elusive space between clarity and confusion — where shapes, memories, and emotions blur together. When I painted this, I felt as though I was chasing something unseen, something that shimmered at the edge of understanding. The bold transitions from dark violet to luminous turquoise mirror how light breaks through emotional fog — how presence can return after absence. This painting is about emergence, the persistence of spirit, and the beauty that lives within uncertainty.
