In The Girl, I wanted to collide the quiet grace of Vermeer’s muse with the energy of modern street art and pop expressionism. By using fluorescent pigments and UV-reactive layers, I allowed her to shift identities — serene by day, radiant and untamed by night. The glowing pearl earring represents continuity: a simple form that still shines through the chaos of colour, echoing how beauty persists across centuries of reinvention.
